Visit and explore one of the most interesting places in Zanzibar, Prison Island. Such a name was not accidental. Many years ago, a British general built a prison on the island, but it was never used for its intended purpose. Before the arrival of the British, the Arabs ruled the city. Arab slave owners used the island to keep slaves until they found future buyers. So, the name Prison was fixed behind the island.
